Help us to help the community
The Cheyenne Greenway Foundation has three main purposes: raise awareness of the Greenway, encourage using the path for physical and mental health benefits, and to secure private funding and volunteers to supplement the City’s support of the Greenway with special events and enhancements.

Cheyenne residents who are interested in spearheading an event or project along the Greenway are encouraged to contact the Foundation.

You can also support the Cheyenne Greenway Foundation by purchasing these products. All proceeds will benefit the Greater Cheyenne Greenway with amenities, such as art projects, benches and landscaping. For donations and purchases, please contact Nancy Olson at CheyenneGreenwayFoundation@gmail.com.

Cheyenne Greenway Foundation 2011 Projects

Dry Creek Greenway / Yellowstone Road Underpass
Greenway patrons and local businesses contributed funding and labor to beautify the underpass of Yellowstone Road at Dry Creek. The Cheyenne Greenway Foundation was the fiscal agent for a grant from the Greater Cheyenne Foundation for this project.

Thomas E. Eppler Memorial Bench
Tom Eppler and several other concerned citizens made up the grassroots group who are credited with spawning the idea of a Greenway in Cheyenne. Post Earth Day 1990 found eager citizens responding to a “call for action” by organizing a cleanup of a section of Crow Creek near Missile Drive. The plan included constructing a walking path and planting trees to beautify the area. Tom was a champion for the Greenway and other quality of life projects in Cheyenne for many years. Without Tom the Greater Cheyenne Greenway might not exist or at the least, would not be as wonderful as it is. The Foundation is pleased to be a part of recognizing Tom and his contributions to the quality of life for Cheyenne residents and visitors.
