The first of many way finding signs have been installed along the Greater Cheyenne Greenway. A joint project between the City of Cheyenne, Forward Greater Cheyenne and the 2018-2019 Leadership Cheyenne class, the signs will be a huge help to people traveling the Greenway.
The look and feel of the signs are designed to complement on on-street way finding system that has been created and installed over the past few years in Cheyenne. These signs will allow people to navigate and explore parts of the greenway they may never have in the past.
The city began installing the signs in early September and completed the project last week. The initial design was created by Chris Hoffmeister of Western Sky Design in cooperation with Visit Cheyenne. The production of the signs was completed by Cheyenne’s Warehouse 21.
The signs can be found at various parts of the Greenway and more are planned for the future. If you would like to sponsor a series of signs or would like to donate money towards phase two, email Jean Vetter at the City of Cheyenne.
